Annapolis Valley Tour
As we travel along the Evangeline Trail on our way to Wolfville, we see the magnificent Bay of Fundy coastline with salt marshes, farmlands and the world's highest tides with it's magic. Wolfville is a charming university town, with stately trees and beautiful Victorian homes. Downtown is a home to an array of colourful shops and some of Nova Scotia's finest restaurants, as well as the 500 seat theatre of the renowned Atlantic Theatre Festival. After we are finished visiting Wolfville, we travel onto Grande Pre National Historic Site.
Upon arrival at Grand Pre National Historic Site, we visit the graceful stone church that stands as a memorial to the Acadians, who were forcefully exiled from their homes and farms during the Expulsion of 1755. The church is built on the site of one of the original Acadian Villages. The site also features a statue of Evangeline, the fictional heroine of Longfellow's immortal epic poem. There is a formal garden, ancient French willows, an Acadian well and a blacksmith's shop located on the churches grounds.
After departing Grand Pre you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery as we make our way back to Halifax.
